(and thanks for checking us out!!!)
Had a visit to NYC Oct 8-11, 2026 to see some friends and some shows.
(Merle was working that weekend.)
Traveled there by Amtrak. Took a little longer, but smooth ride, and no TSA to deal with. Got to visit with friend from undergrad, Richard Ordin

After he escorted me to buy theater tickets and a walk around the Park, we grabbed a slice or two.

Proof that I knew him back in the day, here at UCLA Pauley Pavillion.

Did some NYC sightseeing.

And of course, Times Square.

That evening, got to meet up with Bernie Bank and company to see The Outsiders where they made it rain on stage.
Next am, got to see the view of Manhattan from my hotel room.

Got a chance to catch up with friend from med school, Kevin Williams, now retired, but has a Substack and is going to do a TEDx talk!! Rock on!!

That afternoon, got to see Maybe Happy Ending, award winning musical from South Korea that in the US, won the Tony for best musical. Super creative staging, great singing, acting. A treat!
Saturday night, we got tickets to see Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York, here with Bernie's bf Mike, her bff from med school Barbara, and Bernie. The show is a two person musical, also very creative, funny, with feeling...was great. Burgers after.
