LA visit, peeps and Passover, late April 2024
(Merle couldn't get off work...) :(
First stop was to meet Sue Okazaki in El Segundo for lunch and to catch up on the ol' days from Harbor/UCLA.
I guess we beat the lunch crowd...we were the only peeps in there.
Next stops were to see Marta in Culver City and then Kenny Jacobs in the SF Valley. Got Marta's pic below.
Thurs 4/25, got to catch up with buddy Nathan Schiff from MS over a bagel.

Then off to see Mark Troy and wife Michele (location indicated by my pointer finger) in Encino.
Next stop was to Lovi's Deli in Calabasas to catch up with some bros from back in the day (omg...now we're the old guys!!)
From L, Jerry Goodman, moi, Peter Schoenfeld, Brian Shane
After that, returned to Aunt Gloria's where she showed that a pineapple top that Merle had tried to root...was having none of it. :(
Dinner at Cheesecake Factory w Aunt Michele, Uncle Ronnie, and Aunt Gloria.
Don't eat the bread on the table. You won't be able to stop.
Next day, 4/26, started with a visit with cousins Karen and Timmy. After some breakfast, they took me to Downtown Disney where Karen was very excited to run around and show me the place
Next stop was for a lovely but brief visit with med school (Class of '86) classmate Lori Lennon Bassman and husband Harley in Laguna Beach.
We agreed we have to visit again before letting 38 more years go by.
After that, went to see Paula in Laguna Beach, and though the plan was to see a show, Paula wasn't feeing great so we just visited.
Next day, 4/27, got together with stepmother Mollie, beau Marc, daughter Marji, granddaughter Haley, great gran Daniel.
I think I have a talent for catching people with their mouths in awkward positions.
That evening, we had a lovely passover seder at Cousin Brian's.
Despite the four cups of wine, nobody fell asleep.
(woo hoo!)
Next am, 4/28, before heading out, I got to meet up with Marta again, and we got a pic! Yay!
Then, back to all benny....
